Priya Nandini & Lekh Raj

Priya Nandini & Lekh Raj are ardent music lovers and learners, devoted to making soulful music. They admire all forms of music and believe in fusion of different genres of music, be it Religious music, Hindustani classical, Popular and contemporary music or Western Rock & Pop. Their motto is to spread joy and happiness through music. The father - daughter duo also wish to do a lot of work for social and charitable causes through music.


Music Education

Priya Nandini is 22 years old and has been learning Hindustani Vocal Classical for the last 15 years. She is a gifted singer, song writer and composer. Over the years, she has learnt from distinguished Gurus and is currently learning from Mrs. Chaitra Sontakke, Head of Hindustani Vocal at Shankar Mahadevan Academy. She also got distinction & 100% marks in 6th grade Western Rock and Pop Vocals exam from Trinity College London.

Lekh Raj is an MBA and Ex-Banker. He has 20 years of working experience in the middle and senior management positions with leading banks and finance companies of India. He has left his successful banking career to pursue his love for Guitar and Music composition. He has completed 8th grade of acoustic guitar exam from London College of Music and 5th Grade of Music Theory exam from Trinity College London. He is currently learning music composition apart from advance levels of Guitar playing.


Awards

Priya Nandini has been the best singer of all her schools. She has won many singing competitions including Little Legend Rajkot, Rotary Inter-School competition in Navi Mumbai. She is the winner of "Indus World-wide Talent Hunt Contest" jointly organised by Shankar Mahadevan Academy and Indus International School Bangalore. She was awarded 100 % scholarship for studying at Indus International School Bangalore and for getting special music training by Shankar Mahadevan Academy. 


Live Concerts 

Priya Nandini has performed in various live concerts of globally renowned musician and slide guitarist Dr. Prakash Sontakke. She also had the opportunity to sing with Great Shankar Mahadevan ji and was personally felicitated by him. 

Priya Nandini and Lekh Raj have done exclusive live concerts for charitable causes in where the proceeds of the concerts were to given to NGOs working for treatment of children suffering from life threatening ailments. 

Priya Nandini & Lekh Raj have done live acoustic performances in various special events in Bangalore, Delhi, Bhiwani, Mumbai and Chandigarh.


Compositions

Priya Nandini has written and composed a number of songs both in English and Hindi. She has a very strong bent for literature and loves to write songs about life, relationships and abstract. She aims to be not only a good singer but also one of the best music composers in India.

Priya Nandini has written and sung her original song- “Saawri Bawri”. The song was composed by Priya Nandini & Lekh Raj and music was arranged by Bollywood musician Mr. Chintoo Singh Wasir.

You Tube had specially invited her in 2014 to start her channel-"PRIYA NANDINI".  Currently the channel has 31 videos uploaded and around 1000 subscribers. Most of the songs are covers of popular Bollywood and western songs.
